Amit Lohani is managing director and owner of Max Inc., which is a leading importer and exporter of high value processed food items in India. He is also the national convener, founder, and director for Forum of Indian Food Importers (FIFI), a not for profile apex chamber, which works towards establishing inroads for international food and beverage trade in India. Additionally, Amit is a member of the Government of India’s Food Safety and Standard Authorities’ committee member working on food regulatory ecosystem to facilitate investment and trade development in the country. Furthermore, Amit holds various other responsible positions representing international trade in India at numerous forums like board member for Indo Italian Chamber of Commerce, member of FMCG committee at ASSOCHAM, jury member for annual Coca-Cola golden spoons awards, jury member of OSPITALITA ITALIANA RISTORANTI ITALIANI NEL MONDO, jury member for Annapurna world food India annual awards, and chairperson of India Food Delegation.

He is an alumnus of U.S. Government’s premier professional exchange program International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP). He is a recipient of the fellowship from Fresno State University in California on cold chain management and infrastructure development. Amit has also studied international trade and business from the University of Queensland, Australia and Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, New Delhi, India.

After completing commerce graduation & Apprenticeship in Maurya Sheraton, I have been part of the hospitality industry for the last three and half decades and have evolved and learnt from my experiences i.e. F&B Cost Control, Hotel Night Auditing, Establishing vendor selection and management norms, seeing through the day to day and Operational procurement along with heading the renovation project procurement and Establishing international linkages in different countries for procuring at the esteemed organization where I have had a chance to work. They are (in the chronological order) Maurya Sheraton, Welcome Hotel Asia Jammu, Siddharth, Hyatt Regency, and Le Meridian. My job objective is to establish effective costing Norms and Systems for the purpose to upkeep efficient procurements. Beside all this I’m President and Founder Member of PURCHASING PROFESSIONAL FORUM-INDIA(PPFI).

I have completed my Cost Accountancy and B.Com from Himachal Pradesh University in 1978. Post that I have served Taj Group of Hotels, from 1978 to 2013 and gained vast experience in Supply Chain Management. I have completed my innings with Taj Group as Regional Materials Manager-Delhi, NCR & North West India in September 2013. My last posting was at Taj Palace Hotel, New Delhi, which is a Corporate Hub for North India. I was part of the main corporate team, based at TPH who was responsible for opening up the new properties and renovation of existing properties, wherein I was actively involved in catering to the requirements of the hotel operations and projects.

After completing Graduation in Economics from C.C.S University Meerut in the year 2004, I have Total Fifteen year Career span of working with Hospitality Industry. Currently working with Azure Hospitality as Purchase Manager – HO since Sept.2012 which is one of the leading Restaurants chain in the India & has been in a business for the last 11 years. Azure Hospitality has around forty-two Restaurants in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai and Kolkata have all famous brands of Azure i.e Mamagoto, Dhaba Estd 1986, Sly Granny, Foxtrot, Hotel Delmaar, Mimansa an Organic café and Speedy Chow-Roll Mall. Previous to it worked with M/s Dam Good Restaurants Pvt. Ltd.( Smoke House Grill, Smoke House Delhi, Smoke House Room – Restaurants & Bar in Delhi ) as Purchase Manager –Delhi

Science postgraduate with master’s degree in botany, started career in hospitality industry in 1998 from Hotel Radisson New Delhi Mahipalpur, the first property of Carlson Group in India. Worked in various hotels in Delhi NCR like Grand Hyatt VasantKunj( now The Grand), The Claridges New Delhi, The Imperial New Delhi, Westin Hotels & resorts at Sohna, Haryana, Crowne Plaza Gurgaon &Okhla, Delhi, Pullman & Novotel New Delhi Aerocity etc. Handled the successful opening of Westin Sohna & Pullman-Novotel Aerocity. Currently working at Hotel Crowne Plaza New Delhi Rohini as Purchase manager.
